Grooming Terms of Use

Every animal is very important to us and Pack Leaders ATL would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your animal's grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible. Safety comes first for everyone during the grooming process; people as well as the animals. You are required to agree Pack Leaders ATL’s Terms of Use and Grooming Release prior to any services being performed. By agreeing to our Portal Policy, the client agrees to and understands the following.

Current Vaccinations

All dogs being serviced must be current on their rabies vaccination and provide documentation of such. All puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and current on their puppy series vaccines with documentation of such. CURRENT BORDETELLA AND RABIES Vaccinations’ Proof must be provided upon appointment arrival. Please wait 48 hours after vaccines are given to book a spa groom. WE DO NOT TAKE PET’S WHO HAVE HAD SAME DAY VACCINES.

Veterinarian Authorization -- Medical Emergencies:

If Pack Leaders ATL feels it is an incident requiring veterinary attention and the pet owner is not on-site, Pack Leaders ATL will seek immediate veterinary care for your animal. This release gives Pack Leaders ATL full authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest licensed veterinarian in the case of any medical emergencies while the pet is in the care of Pack Leaders ATL. All veterinary costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the animal's owner. Pack Leaders ATL is only liable for damage from negligence or willfull misconduct. See our insurance coverages here.

By agreeing to the portal policy, you affirm that you are the rightful legal owner of the pet(s) for which services are being rendered, or that you have the authority granted by the legal owner to make decisions on behalf of the legal owner.

Accidents

Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when handling pets. Additionally, although Pack Leaders ATL uses extreme caution and care in all situations, grooming equipment is extremely sharp and possible accidents can occur, including (but not limited to): cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of the nails. In some cases, this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified.

Pack Leaders ATL agrees to exercise all due and reasonable care to prevent injury and illness to my pet. However, in the event of illness or injury, the owners, employees, staff, volunteers, other customers, clients, of for and about this facility shall not be held personally liable for such injuries or illnesses.

You understand that you are responsible for any injury your pet(s) causes to other pets, people or the facility in use.

On-Location/Pet Spa Procedures

By agreeing to the portal policy and booking a grooming service you agree to our On-Location and Pet Spa procedures. If you are a client living in a community or residence with a Pet Spa, you agree that Pack Leaders ATL may request access and enter your residence to pick up your pet. IF your community does not have a Pet Spa, you agree that Pack Leaders ATL may groom your pet within your residence, or on your property, such as a driveway, backyard, or other suitable location on your property. You agree that Pack Leaders ATL can take your pet on a walk to use the bathroom before, during, or after being groomed. During our On-Location Pet Spa visits, Pack Leaders ATL will typically have both a Groomer and Groomer’s Assistant. If your community’s Pet Spa is unavailable, Pack Leaders ATL may groom the pet within your home. This option will be approved by the client in advance.

While in an on-location Pet Spa or residence, Pet Parents are requested not to stay in the Pet Spa/room for the full duration of the groom. Pet Parents may check in on progress, or be present at the beginning of the grooming. However, this is subject to the Groomer’s approval. To be time-efficient, and to prevent your pet from getting too excited, Pack Leaders ATL reserves the right to ask Pet Parents to wait outside of the Pet Spa/room.

Custom Cuts

Shave downs or custom cuts that are outside normal specific breed haircuts will be discussed and the groomer/stylist will perform the cuts to the best of his/her understanding of the client's directions and his/her ability but no other guarantee is made.

Fleas/Ticks

Flea/tick treatment is required to be serviced by a Pack Leaders ATL groomer. If your pet has any fleas, they will be given a flea bath at your expense of $20 in addition to the base cost of the bath or groom. If you do not want them to receive one, you can reschedule your appointment after the fleas are resolved by you.

Dangerous or Aggressive Animals -- Refusal of Services

Pack Leaders ATL has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your animal is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Pack Leaders ATL has the right to refuse services, stop grooming services, or cancel the services at any time before, during, or after grooming and the client will be charged a grooming fee for the services rendered until that point. We do not use muzzles. If it is necessary for the safety of your pet and the groomer/stylist, elastic collars, slings, straps etc. will be humanely used.

Sedated Pets

We do not work on sedated pets as there is a risk of side effects from the sedation that we are not medically trained to handle. If you sedate your pet for its appointment and do not inform us of it, you understand that Pack Leaders ATL will not be held liable for any repercussions related to the sedation. If we believe your pet has been sedated, we will refuse services or stop services and a fee will be charged for services rendered until that point.

Timing

Every effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly. A typical pet groom can be completed in 1 to 3 hours from the time of your appointment. If your pet(s) has behavior issues or skin and coat problems, you may be looking at a longer period of time.

Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your pet from his/her appointment. We also understand that your pet is excited to see you when you pick them up, making it hard to closely evaluate the haircut. If, once you get home, you decide that you would like something adjusted, please call us and we’ll make arrangements. You must call us within 24 hours from their appointment, otherwise a fee may apply for additional services.

Matted Coats

Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in a pet’s coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the pet's skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations and infections. Pack Leaders ATL will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting excessively matted coats and may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure and any risk presented. There will be an additional charge for this process. Dematting will be charged at (*enter charge amount), and if we

must shave your dog, a Matted Shave Fee of $10-$50 will apply in addition to the cost of the groom. Dematting is to the discretion of the groomer. We have the right to refuse severely matted pets due to a pet parent’s disapproval of a shave down; Cancellation fee will apply.

We will not continue with any grooming procedure that will cause pain, discomfort to the pet or harm to the groomer/stylist. Sometimes for a more sensitive dog, these procedures are best left to the care of a veterinarian.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of pick-up or drop off of your pet. By agreeing to the portal policy, you agree that Pack Leaders ATL may auto-charge your method of payment on file upon completion of grooming services. Clients who are on a recurring package agree that Pack Leaders ATL may auto-charge the package fee upon the package renewal date.

By agreeing to the portal policy, you authorize this contract to be valid approval for future grooming services, permitting Pack Leaders ATL to accept future telephone reservations, web and mobile reservations, or emails for service without additional signed contracts or written authorization. Additionally, by agreeing to the portal policy you understand that pricing is subject to change.

Cancellations/No Call-No Show

Because we book on an hourly basis and cancellations can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer, we ask that any rescheduling or cancellations be made at least 24 business hours in advance or a fee of 50% of the grooming service will apply. If you do not call to cancel and do not show up to your appointment, this is considered a “no call, no show” and a fee of 50% of the grooming service will apply and is required to be paid before another appointment may be scheduled.
